Sebastian Welter

Sebastian is a Technology Innovation leader at IKEA, working on how to innovate IKEA’s supply chain with tomorrow’s technology.

He is leading the topic of Artificial Intelligence innovation at IKEA focusing a lot on AI Vision technology and Generative AI topics at the moment.

His background is classical IT. After working in pre-sales and architecture, he stepped into AI as architect for IBM’s Watson in Germany. From there he went into consulting, spending some years in defining AI strategies and solutioning analytics/cloud/data/AI projects as a director at a large consultancy. His passion is technology driven innovation, whether its AI or any other fascinating digital technology.
